Game rules (speed puck game)

Forget the “classic” puck game where you calmly aim at a spot for ten minutes. Here, there's no polite "taking turns". This puck game is a speed puck game: both players shoot at the same time. The result: it's fast-paced, things get jostled, the pieces (pucks) can collide, and the game quickly turns into a high-tension mini-match… but with bursts of laughter.

The objective of the game

Each player (or team) plays with one color of pieces (pucks). The goal is simple: be the first to get all your pucks into the opponent's camp.

Setup (in 1 minute)

Place the board between you, define the two camps (one camp per player).
Each player places their pucks in their camp, ready to go.
You can play with 2 players… or in team mode by taking turns (but always with only one color per camp).

How to play (the "nerves & speed" rule)

At the signal ("3, 2, 1, GO!"), both players launch their pucks at the same time, from their camp, to get them into the opponent's camp.

• You can string together shots as fast as you want.
• Pucks can hit each other, deflect, block each other… and that's where it gets delicious: sometimes a perfect shot turns into a disaster, sometimes a "lost" puck becomes a stroke of genius thanks to a collision.

The rule that sets the mood (prohibition + shoot)

• It is forbidden to manually return an opponent's puck that has already entered your camp.
• However, you can "shoot" it: you are allowed to hit an opponent's puck with one of your pucks to make it exit (or push it back).

Translation: an opponent's puck in your camp is not "untouchable"... but to get rid of it, you have to aim, gauge, and attempt a decisive shot (or just wing it and hope for the best). And that's where the best moments happen: "No! That one was in!" & "I shot it, it's legal!"

When does a puck count as "in"?

As soon as a puck is in the opponent's camp, it is considered passed.
And since everything happens simultaneously, it can change in a second: you think you're ahead… then two successive collisions overturn everything.

How to win the game

As soon as a player (or team) has successfully moved all their pucks into the opposing camp, the round is won.
An ultra-effective option to extend the evening: play in 2 or 3 rounds, and count the points per round (1 point per round won).
